Paramount+ has struck oil again — and this time, the pressure’s rising fast. The streamer has unveiled the final official trailer for Landman Season 2, the hit West Texas oil saga created by Taylor Sheridan, the mastermind behind Yellowstone, Sicario, and Hell or High Water.
The first season, which premiered last November, became a breakout success for Paramount+, combining Sheridan’s signature grit with the volatile world of oil rigs, power brokers, and personal demons. Now, Season 2 promises to go even deeper into the rough terrain of ambition and corruption that fuels the Lone Star State.
“You think you understand how this business works, but you don’t,” warns the trailer, setting the tone for another high-stakes chapter.
Returning star Billy Bob Thornton reprises his role as Tommy Norris, the hard-edged oilman whose moral compass faces new fractures both at home and at M-Tex Oil, where Cami (Demi Moore) pushes him to the breaking point. The new season picks up after the explosive Season 1 cliffhanger, teasing that something—or someone—might finally snap.
The returning ensemble also features Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, and James Jordan, with major new additions including Colm Feore, Andy Garcia, and Sam Elliott—the latter’s rugged gravitas adding even more Texas thunder.
Shot entirely on location across Texas, Landman draws inspiration from the acclaimed Boomtown podcast by Christian Wallace, who co-created the series with Sheridan. Episodes are directed by Stephen Kay (Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown), with production handled by MTV Studios, 101 Studios, Bosque Ranch Productions, and Imperative Development.
Paramount+ will premiere Landman Season 2 on November 16, 2025 — and if the trailer’s any indication, this oil field’s about to erupt. Season 2 promises a tighter coil of crime, corruption, and high-octane human drama, all steeped in Sheridan’s signature realism and moral complexity.
